David Berardozzi, co-director of the Inforum company in La Roche-sur-Foron, has a deep knowledge of the special features of stores related to the textile care. With good reason: his grandmother and his father worked in this sector. As the inheritor of a family tradition, David and his team design IT software dedicated to the dry-cleaner’s in order to make management and cash register easier. The latest software, GestiClean Up’, gradually conquers the French market and is already considering other European countries. During almost 9 months, Inforum benefited from the support of a consultant in order to build their action plan. In this context, the CCI (Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie - chamber of commerce and industry) wanted David Berardozzi, co-director of Inforum, to share his experience.
GestiClean Up' is a software as a service (SaaS). This means the customer has direct access to the solution on the internet, regardless of the hardware used. Therefore, our business model is no more based on distribution and integration of software with local installation, but on the provision of an online service accessible on subscription. This is a deep internal change resulting in technological, human and financial effects. We needed support and advice to make this transition a success. The service “Commercial PME” consists in implementing a customised action plan from clear marketing goals. During almost 9 months, we were followed by a consultant in order to give structure to our plan. An important show in Frankfurt was ahead. We had to be ready. Inforum tries to expand their distribution range to the whole French market. We also wish to develop in Italy, Spain and Germany.
